Check them out! Zach and Katie – what a gorgeous pair! We arrived to their getting-ready locations in the morning to find the ladies oh-so-calm before the day began and the boys stomping their shoes to the rhythm of some country classics to shake off the thrills of the afternoon ahead of them. The getting-ready’s were very sweet and emotional, and these emotions showed how much Zach and Katie meant to each other. They were both very excited and maybe a little bit nervous but couldn’t wait to meet up at the altar. While enjoying the private moments of the two, we couldn’t wait to shoot the ceremony and reception — we had a feeling that it was going to be a special day! And sure enough, it was. The place of the ceremony was a small, adorable church (St. Alphonsus Parish in Auburn) near Skaneateles while the ceremony took place at the Sinclair of Skaneateles. Both places were spectacular! We loved the architecture inside the church — it looked divine! It made the already sweet and heartfelt ceremony even more beautiful. And the place of the reception — the Sinclair of Skaneateles — what a great location! This renovated building has an amazing private room with gorgeous wood finish for the wedding party on the top floor, balconies overlooking the main hall on the second floor, and lots of space for the guests to party on the main floor. Moreover, there was a peaceful area where the guests could enjoy the hors d’oeuvres or relax next to the fire pit, along-side a small creek.
Throughout the day, Katie and Zach have surprised us with their love and affection. They were the true highlight of the day not just because it was their wedding day but also because of their hospitality. They shared their appreciation with their family and friends, made everyone feel very welcome, and were truly amazing to work with. It was a pleasure witnessing the sweet little moments between the two and among their family and friends. The moments that we liked the most? The shy tear in Zach’s eye as he saw Katie approach him, and the glittering eyes of their parents. Real heirlooms.
