“Piovere a catinelle!” said someone in the crowd of cheering guests as the newly weds were exiting the church. Honestly, the rain wasn’t as bad as it sounds but that didn’t really matter anyways; what mattered was that there were happy faces, warm smiles, and, most of all, the happiest couple in the World: Lauren and Paul.
It had been a long time since we first met with Lauren to discuss her and Paul’s wedding plans. Lauren immediately struck us as a caring person. She was really open and expressive when it came down to discussing her relationship with Paul and their wedding. From what we heard, we knew that Paul was a gentleman who put his beloved one’s feelings ahead of anything else in the World. Fast forward one year and, as it turned out, our intuition was right. We, finally, got to meet Paul in person on the wedding day. Surrounded by his friends and family, he was friendly, caring, and eloquent. The few minutes that he had to himself he spent with a bit of nervousness but quietly and mannerly. Lauren’s getting ready occurred in her family’s home in the surroundings of her beautiful parents, grandma, and stunning bridesmaids. The house was filled with love. A lot of warmth emanated from everyone around Lauren. We had a little moment of serenity during the father-bride first look; and, of course, it was beautiful and emotional.
The ceremony took place at a beautiful church located in the middle of Lemont, IL, atop a hill. It felt a bit magical being above everything else in a land as flat as Chicago. After the guests had arrived and sat in the benches, and the groom stood at the altar, the bride and her father started preparing for the grand entrance. There were many emotions being exchanged between the two. When the entrance door opened and Lauren’s dad escorted her through the church, the guests were without a breath. Everyone admired the dazzling bride. Upon the grand entrance, Paul greeted Lauren with the happiest look in his eyes. The ceremony was very affecting. Tears were shed and smiles were widened.
The reception was held at Hyatt Lodge at the McDonald’s Campus in Oak Brook. It’s a beautiful location with gardens, trees, and ponds. Throughout, the guests cheered for the newly-weds, laughed to the funny speeches, and cried to the first dances. Especially, many emotional moments were exchanged between the couple and their parents. Once the floor opened up for dances, everyone was showing off their skills!
Paul and Lauren: we hope you’re having a fantastic time in Italy! We truly loved working with you on your special day. Thank you both for being so caring and loving. It was your day yet you made us feel so appreciated for the work we were doing. We wish you all the best and hope to run into you again in the future! – Kamil and Taz.
