For one cute couple, Sara Jane and Christian, Friday, September 2nd, started somewhat calmly at their house. There was a relaxing walk outside of their house and a mini-screening of The Fast and Furious. What seemed to be a totally normal day… of course, was everything but that! It was Sara Jane and Christian’s wedding!
To backtrack a little, Sara Jane and Christian got engaged on a very special day – the leap day! And while it may seem like they only get to celebrate their engagement anniversary only every four years, the truth is that they actually get to celebrate it every year – and twice if it’s not a leap year. Just as special as the chosen date for a proposal was, so are Sara Jane and Christian themselves. They are both very compassionate and extremely devoted to their relationship as well as the relationship with their families. When we asked them about what’s the most exciting thing about their wedding, they agreed that it’s the opportunity for their entire family and friends to gather together. Sara Jane and Christian’s welcoming attitude contributed to building a loving circle of friends around them which was visible during the ceremony and reception. Their ceremony was emotional with many tears shed and it was run by the couple’s friend. The speeches during the reception were very sincere and revealed many sweet facts about Sara Jane and Christian.
Sara Jane and Christian have planned the timeline of their wedding keeping all the details and all the guests in mind. They’ve assured that everyone was entertained and made sure that all guests put all their energy into the dances. And, in fact, the dance floor was steaming from all the energy there. To keep all the guests energized, the couple hired a food truck – The Tamale Spacship – which was mouthwatering goodness. Since the festivities took place at the Firehouse Chicago, a beautifully historic and transformed firehouse, it was absolutely necessary for the groom to slide down the fire pole. To end the night, there was a beautiful sparkler send off and a limo waiting for the couple.
Sara Jane and Christian, it was wonderful working with you! Thank you for choosing us to document your beautiful day. We wish you all the best and happy that you will be able to tease one another for many years to come!
