Meghan and Jordan not only drove for two hours but they did so following their night shifts at work. They traveled to Rochester from Watkins Glen, NY, to tell us their story and discuss their wedding which was only a few weeks away. With their dedication and enthusiasm about working with us, they made us feel extremely special. We loved their story, wedding plans, and the aura of happiness that surrounded them! This was another fantastic couple that we were excited about working with.
The story of how Jordan and Meghan met is like a rom-com: girl moves to a new town for a job. There, she meets this gentleman of a fella. He’s not shy and lets her know how he felt about her. And the feeling was mutual. There was, however, one obstacle: she was his boss — and, thus, they couldn’t date. As one would expect from a good rom-com, however, this wasn’t the end. As all good stories end well, it’s not a spoiler if we tell you now that the two found a way to overcome that obstacle. In fact, the gentleman found a way to turn the currently upside-down world back on its legs and win the love of that beautiful, fantastic girl. His solution was simple: some time passed by and he got himself a new job — only so that they could date and, eventually, marry.
This is how this love story begun. While we may not know everything that followed this romantic beginning, we sure know its climax — the wedding day! So let us tell you, it was the perfect day for the perfect wedding. Jordan and Meghan decided to have their ceremony at a small church in the town. The ceremony felt very intimate and emotional and everyone admired the beautiful couple. Following their beautiful ceremony, Jordan and Meghan’s exit from the church was celebrated with the guests’ enthusiastic cheers and with soap bubbles that sparkled in the sunlight.
The reception took place at the Castel Grisch Winery on Seneca lake. The winery accommodates the parties in a beautifully decorated room with large windows and a deck that overlooks the spectacular landscape of the Finger Lakes. The hills, forests, the lake, and the rows of grape vines all make for fantastic backgrounds for wedding portraits. We had a lot of fun photographing Jordan and Meghan and their guests. The party was lit up by the amazing performance by the Silver Arrow Band, Jordan and Meghan’s first dance, and emotional speeches. We enjoyed every minute of Jordan and Megan’s special day. Their hospitality and enthusiasm made the day special for everyone who attended — not just for them.
As always, we’re sharing some of the pictures from the day below. We hope you enjoy! Jordan and Meghan: thank you so much for allowing us to be apart of your special day. Best wishes and hope that our paths cross again!
