With all the craziness of the holiday season behind us, we finally have some time to post a few more weddings that we shot in 2016. We start with the wedding of Emily and Mark who got married last summer and had their ceremony at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. We photographed this wedding as associate photographers for Heather DeCamp Photography.
Emily and Mark’s day started out with early preparations with help from their friends and family. From the very beginning of the day, one could tell that they are a very energetic couple. The getting ready was filled with laughter and fun. After the entire wedding party got dressed and was ready for the big day, everyone headed for the ceremony which took place at the St. Joseph Church in Chicago. The church was beautiful — we loved it’s architectural detail. The ceremony was fun and filled with entertaining stories from Emily and Mark’s past. The couple couldn’t help but laugh and so did the guests. But there were tears too — happy tears, of course. After the ceremony, the wedding party headed downtown in order to take some pictures at the Chicago bridges and the Olive Park. Following the portraits, the wedding party headed to the Museum of Contemporary Art which is located near the Water Tower. The museum is a gorgeous structure surrounded by contemporary sculptures (which we were able to utilize for a few more portraits). Inside, it holds multiple collections of modern art. The wedding guests were allowed to visit a couple exhibits during the reception. The reception was intertwined with great speeches, delicious food, and awesome live music. We were excited to shoot there and stole the newly weds a couple times for quick photo sessions in different areas of the museum.
Below, are a few images from the Emily and Mark’s wedding day.
